DentSply OrthoLab™. Orthodontic Laboratory Services.

  • Designed for transverse expansion.
Standard Upper design features two
midline expansion screws, two sets
of clasps, a labial bow and occlusal
coverage of posterior teeth. Additional
attachments added upon request.
  • Designed for transverse
expansion. Standard Lower
design features a midline screw,
two sets of clasps, a labial
bow, and no occlusal coverage.
Additional attachments added
upon request.
  • Repositions the mandible by using inclined planes on upper and lower occlusal. Allows optional incorporation of simple functional devices to achieve arch lengthening, arch expansion or vertical change. Unobtrusive design can be worn full-time due to little interference with sleeping or speech.
  • Used to achieve correction
of crowded arches. In many
cases, to create space
for blocked out cuspids.
Standard Upper design
features two sagittal screws,
two sets of clasps and cuspid
hooks and occlusal coverage
of posterior teeth.
  • Used to achieve correction of
crowded arches. In many cases,
to create space for blocked out
cuspids. Standard Lower design
features two sagittal screws, two
sets of clasps and cuspid hooks,
and no occlusal coverage. Screws
can be placed further back for
molar distalization only.
  • Uses only one screw with both
anterior push and transverse
expansion. Standard design features
occlusal coverage and two pairs of
clasps and cuspid hooks.
  • Used for expansion of premaxilla
area. Standard design features two
sets of clasps, occlusal coverage of
posterior teeth and two anterior push
expansion screws. Lip pads also
available.
  • Used for transverse expansion of
the mandible. Activation occurs by
laterally expanding the heavy body
wire. Whip springs may be used to
flare anterior teeth.
  • Used to correct unilateral crossbites.
Side opposite crossbite serves as a
stabilizer. An acrylic flange extends
down to lingual of posterior teeth.
An expansion screw moves teeth in
crossbite to the buccal. No indexing
on crossbite side allows acrylic to
slide buccally.
  • Used to achieve correction of A/P
discrepancies. Acrylic coverage of
posterior teeth prevents eruption. No
coverage of anteriors promotes bite
closure. A midline screw is included for
minor arch width correction.
  • Used to achieve correction of A/P
discrepancies, arch expansion, and improved
vertical relations of posterior teeth. An
expansion screw is placed lingual to lower
incisors. Acrylic cap prevents further eruption
of lower anterior teeth. No acrylic coverage of
posteriors allows for eruption and ultimately
produces bite opening.
  • Designed identical to bionators to open or close with the addition of two sagittal screws used for mandibular advancement. Appliance includes a midline screw.
  • Designed to establish harmonious
functional patterns for simultaneous
development of bone, muscle and
dentition, with total facial balance as
the main objective. Constructed with
durable wire that virtually eliminates
wire breakage.
